Instructions: Now that you have proven that there is a problem, you must research possible solutions to the problem. You must turn in this research sheet completed with two articles attached that show possible solutions and why they would work

III. There are many possible solutions to this problem. The possible solutions are: (Two articles must be attached and annotated bibliography)
Abolish the penny because it cost almost 2x the amount that its worth to create the penny. 10,000,000 pennies are produced everyday while the pennies out circulating are getting dropped, thrown in their couches, and left places where you wouldnt find money of higher currency. Some companies using the cut down money tansactions wont even accept pennies in most cases. The penny is completly useless because of the expensive econonmy that we live in today. You wont find penny vending machines, or penny candy, you cant buy anything is this society today for a penny. Some establishments have denied the use of pennies such as the pall tolls. They made it possible to only use silver change and add the amounts up in five,s or ten's. Pennies dont circulate the society like the silver change does.

IV. The solution I (we) propose is: (This section will become your proposed legislation. Be sure to include what agency will implement your law, proposed cost if any and effective date)

The solution to the bill HB901 is to abolish the penny completly. In the economy today, the money put into making pennies would be better used for other important things. It is useless in society because nothing is worth just a penny and the value of the penny is lower than what is costs to create it. Its a waste of money due to the difference in value to the price it cost to make.

V. I (we) think this solution will work because: (You must use factual information to prove your solution will work)
We think this solution will work because establishments are already using the no penny policy. Pay tolls dont except pennies. Its also a proven fact that the value of the penny, 0.1 cent is less than what it cost to create the penny. It cost just about a dime to create one. There is nothing on sale for a penny and simply cant purchase anything with a single penny. People abuse this property of the US treasury jurisdicton which is against the law to deface any kind of currency and can get up to 6 mnths if caught so doing it, in some circumstances. (http://www.chacha.com/question/is-it-illegal-to-ruin-currency-such-as-coins). People throw them out, give them away and are left behind. They dont mean anything and are a waste of money. In this economy today the money used to make pennies can be put to better use.
